Workshop Rundown

Each week the kids participate in six different workshops. These activities reinforce concepts from our curriculum, thematic units, arts, and cooperative learning. Here's a peek of what we did this week.
Made Alphababies.  These silly little faces will help us to practice the letter sounds and reinforce letter recognition.  We will keep these at home for a few weeks and then send them home.

I'm sure you heard about the S'mores!  We had fun making them in the microwave and making a step-by-step recipe card so you can make them at home too.  Be sure to check out the S'more Smiles if you haven't yet!

Completed a "Here is a" book that helped to reinforce our HFW this week.  Be sure to read this book with your child at home!
Our new book this week is Lunch - this is a hard one for some kids!  New HFW:  an, a, here, is, one.
We wrote Money books filled with M words such a monkey, milk, and Mom.
We began our first tapestry!  At the tapestry table, the kids worked together to sew a unique wall hanging.  We'll finish it next week.
